The Great 2025 Road Trip Day 4

Packed up and hit the road early. Another travel day.  Looking at about 6-7 hours of driving.  We are officially heading to places neither of us have been before.

Goal today: a cute farm/camp outside of Sioux Falls SD.  It seems right up our alley!  And it's even called "Uncle B's" which is Brendan's nieces and nephews call him.  Seemed too perfect.

Driving through very thick smoke from the Canadian Wildfires.  It's very ominous looking and a little depressing to be honest.  You could see the actual smoke clouds blowing around us.

Crossed the Mississippi River up between Wisconsin and Iowa.
Stopped in Austin Minnesota to see some things suggested on Roadside America.  A giant forkk made of forks.  As advertised:
And the Spam museum!

Then hours more driving with miles and miles of just....corn.  and some sunflowers!  Saw several crop dusters too.
Finally we arrived at Sioux Falls South Dakota. We stopped in the town to see the actual Falls and nose around a bit.
Then we carried on a little past the town for our next stop for tonight. I don't have enough good words about this place.  It's quirky and fun and the owner super nice.

If you ever end up in this part of the world definitely stop by.  Brian, the owner, gave us some stuff for s'mores and a bunch of fresh vegetables he picked from his garden today.

Miles driven: 1103
Miles hiked: 5.5
State count: 7
